Educating Young Women
The Teaching and Learning program at St Clare’s is designed to challenge and reward every student. With small class sizes, each student benefits from personalised teaching in a caring and nurturing environment. Students are given the opportunity to become confident, lifelong learners.
Some of the key features of the St Clare’s curriculum are:
- student centred learning catering for the academic and social development of students
- a wide variety of courses including HSC extension courses
- a dynamic Creative, Visual and Practical Arts program
- an academic enrichment program that allows students to excel in areas not covered by traditional curriculum
- an integrated learning support program
- the use of the latest technology to engage students
- a broad co-curricular program encompassing academic, sporting and cultural activities
- private music tuition
St Clare’s College fosters academic excellence. Not only do our students consistently achieve excellent results in the Higher School Certificate but analysis of our students’ performances indicates that our students improve significantly over their time at the school. We are extremely proud that the majority of our graduating students undertake tertiary studies.
Scholarships
Academic Scholarships which cover half the college tuition fees are offered to students at the commencement of Year 7 and Year 11.
A Music Scholarship is offered each year to a student commencing in Year 7. The Scholarship covers private music tuition to a maximum of $2000 per year.
The Ex-Students Association awards a Scholarship each Year to a student entering Year 11 who has shown in her application to her studies, her involvement in the life of the College and her relationships with others has shown a commitment to the Spirit of St Clare.
Application forms are available from the College in July.
