We encourage all parents to take an active part in the life of the College and their daughter’s education.
Communication between home and school is a feature of St Clare’s. We inform our parents of College activities via the College newsletter and website.
The staff is committed to keeping parents informed of their daughter’s progress both formally via reports and Parent Teacher Interviews and informally via their daughter’s College Diary, phone calls, emails or meetings.
There are a number of more formal opportunities for you to meet the dedicated staff of St Clare’s and discuss your daughter’s progress. The College holds regular Parent Teacher nights, information sessions and open days. We also invite you to become actively involved in the school through sporting activities and to get to know the teachers on a more informal basis.
Parents have the opportunity to be involved in many aspects of the co-curricular life of the College including Public Speaking and Debating, Sporting and Cultural activities.
Parents and Friends' Association
The Parents and Friends’ Association meets on a regular basis. All parents are encouraged to attend and take part in the interesting and informative discussions. The Association supports the College and organises social and community events. Their financial support over the years has provided many extra facilities and resources.

Presidents Report 2008
This year, in 2008, the P and F have continued to work in a positive and enthusiastic way. We would like to thank Mrs Terri Hirschhorn and the new College Leadership Team for their support and continued spirit of cooperation with the P and F.
At St Clare’s we have a dedicated Parents and Friends' Committee, made up of the executive team and many other interested Parents.
We have met twice a term in the hall for evening gatherings.
All parents and friends of the school have always been very welcome to attend these meetings. We have found it has also been a great way to meet parents, chat about the school and what our daughters are doing.
As we have a P and F levy, fundraising has not been our main aim. Our focus is on continuing to support and develop the school spirit, through the parent community. With this in mind, we organised a Welcoming to Year 7 and New Students and their Families to a Dinner in the College Courtyard, in Term 1. At the Pygmalion Production, we were also responsible for running the canteen each night and organising the Cocktail Function. In addition to this, we arranged for the Police Liaison Officer to talk to the parents at one of our meetings about Cyber Bullying. As it is also important to remember how hard our teachers work, a morning tea was provided for the staff at the end of Term 2, to thank them for their continued efforts with our daughters.
This year, it is exciting to tell you that the P and F levy contribution has been given to the school, to help with furniture for the Art Rooms, sewing machines and textile equipment, Fit out of the Sports Store room, repair of the Statue of St Francis in the garden, chairs for one classroom, library books.
Towards the end of the year, our focus has been on updating the P and F Constitution and discussing what our future aims should be. Thank you to all of the parents who have contributed their ideas to these two very important documents.
Finally, thank you to the P and F executive team of David, Jennifer, Kim, Kathy, Rob and Kerrie for their continued work and support of our college.
